National Supply Chain Logistics Manager

Our client is a recognised FMCG Food & Beverages multinational.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Executive, as the National Logistics Manager you will lead the warehouse, distribution and transport logistics function across Logistics Optimisation, Continuous Improvement, Project Management and Analytics, with key deliverables in balancing effective Customer Demand fulfilment.  You will ensure the optimal end to end management of finished goods between the Distribution Centres and Customer and effective management of returns from trade.  Responsible for 4 Area Logistics Managers you will:-

• Evaluate information regarding throughput volume, logistics activities, delivery, capacity, storage equipment options, picking requirements and time constraints to manage performance and resourcing effectiveness
• Manage the fleet’s performance through route planning, load efficiency and driver behaviour management
• Critically evaluate warehouse processes and methodology
• Manage Logistics Improvement projects
• Establish results tracking mechanisms
• Review data and provide integrated analytical insights and report on trend analysis to the business nationally

We ideally require a B.Eng Industrial Engineering or B.Comm Logistics Degree, strong business acumen with a track record in logistics/supply chain planning systems, transport routing and scheduling, WMS and effective resourcing is essential.  Ability to develop a solid KPI framework and performance benchmarks for the operational logistics environment, working both strategically and tactically.  An MBA would be advantageous.
